Birthday Flowers

Wow what an awesome birthday it was yesterday !!!

It was a quiet day, spent at home by myself, big bubble bath, reflecting on what I
will bring in this year.

Its been an amazing year of stretching already and who knows what its going to be like
over the next 12 months. It certainly was just so wonderful to get over 250 messages on my
Facebook and text accounts.

I loved reading all the comments and well wishes (who doesn’t :) and it really really touched my heart.

I went to the beautician and had time there, wrote in my journal and had lunch with my gorgeous husband, which by the way, I am on a 30 day challenge right now (should have waited till after my birthday lol) so I had my lovely salad and soup and he brought noodles home.

I had the most amazing flowers delivered by my gorgeous friend and that just topped off the day. It was weird not having a glass of bubbly (I am still wondering if thats a good thing or bad thing lol) and I really
felt just having a slow type of day. Two years ago it was all party preparation and people flying in from all over the place to my big bash and its hard to fathom that two years has passed.

My Birthday Feast :)

A lot happens in two years right :) . I didn’t completely have clarity around my Lifes purpose. I still had things I had to voice within my family. I had to deal with my gorgeous Aunty Luanne (yes I am her namesake) passing away quickly and going back to New Zealand to farewell her. I am so grateful for each new person I have met in my life. I love each and everyone of you and if only you knew the Potential of who you are and what you can create – this drives me soooo much. Yes it is reflection back :) .

So I wanted to share with you my birthday week offer of having a Hand Analysis session with me.

I know the Power of having these done, because when I had my Hand Analysis reading done for me – it totally resonated in every cell of my body and nearly 2 years later here I am, sharing what I can with the world.

For the next couple of days I am giving 50% OFF my normal hand analysis rate. Just type in code “Birthday” and you will receive it for 1/2 price.

I know I am crazy for doing this but I am not going to let the excuse of Price stop you from having clarity around your Life Purpose. (and I think I’ve drunk way too much Green tea today)

Go here now and book yourself in: http://www.mcssl.com/store/goddessonpurpose/life-purpose-hand-reading

The discount will only be up for a couple of days haha once the birthday glow wears off :)

So dear friend, heres to an awesome year ahead for all of us – launched by your Life Purpose Reading.

Hello hello :) ,

End of day 5 and going well so far :)

Eating 12 small meals in a busy life is harder than I thought when you are not hungry (which is a good thing I think) but I managed it.

We are suppose to eat one meal each hour so tomorrow I will endeavour to do just that. Preparation is key the night before and all my meals are done now and safely packed away in the fridge for tomorrow.

Feeling great great great and 1/2 way through phase 1 (each phase is 10 days).

Here are a couple of photos of the two types of salads I prepare then divide them up. They were taken on one of my 1st day so I have since managed to refine the making and they take no time at all since I have a Thermomix and chop one of them in it and voila – salsa type salad yummo.

See you tomorrow !!!!

Hello hello :) ,

A couple of weeks ago I attended a training in membership sites, on the Gold Coast. It was really good and something I want to integrate eventually as part of my business Goddess on Purpose. Yay community :) .
While in attendance, there was a presentation done by a healthy, inspiring couple who have put together a weight loss program that promises that you can loose up to 10 kilos in 30 days.  The people running the event had actually just about finished the program and were looking fabulous.

Yes I know – but before you go oh not another weight loss fad diet thing, and believe me I totally do not support any fad diet in any shape or form.  I detest the word diet – it has die in it !!! argh, but what really tweaked my interest is that you get to eat 12 meals a day !!! I know yes thats 12 !!!!.  Now I likes me some food (especially with a nice wine) but I must admit all this travel and working long hours my diet had not been the best.  Plus my exercise regime had been reduced to running after the kids in the morning trying to persuade them that yes they can actually brush their own teeth (my daughter) and that I don’t have to do it for them all the time.  My idea of lifting weights was putting their school bags into the back of my car (have you lifted school bags these days – they are Heavy).

Anywhooo the fact that I get to eat 12 meals, kind of like grazing the whole day long, and I also did not have to go to the gym everyday and do weights and circuit training (which I also loathe) but instead all I had to do was walk 10,000 steps which was counted by one of those little machines you attach to your hip, well I thought this was a great thing.

I don’t have to loose 10 kilos only around 5 ish but I really wanted something that I could follow that would keep me on track and I would never be hungry or my body so sore from training I would give up after 2 days – 3 max. And I want to eat better.

So I can tell you now that I am at the end of day 4 and I am doing pretty good so far.

Eating my small 12 meals is great, I do a half hour light exercise from the dvd training I received in the  morning and I just walk walk walk :) .

And pretty much anything processed is out of my diet, and no alcohol argh not even the odd glass of yummy NZ Sav Blanc, but you know what – not even missing that yet.

So will be keeping you informed of my progress – I think I am putting this out for all to see so I don’t actually give it up haha – no this time I really want to get back into shape and give this Goddess body the natural soul  food and exercise it needs because I am so busy and want even more energy than I have (and that could be dangerous lol). (is there a thing called organic wine ? …for later of course)

Even my kids have cottoned onto it and have been grabbing my meals and eating salads that they normally don’t have so that has to be a good thing :)

Letting go of Old Family Hurts

By · Comments

Hola Goddess,

I wanted to share an article today relating to Letting Go.  Not just any letting go, but in particular Family Hurts.
They say that you can’t choose your family … but I believe we actually do and we do that to experience, to grow, to love, and all those wonderful emotions, thoughts and things.
When it comes to our family and friends, its often our family that we can’t just leave behind … or can we ???

I love and adore all my family. Yes there have been challenges, yes there are now challenges, yes there will be more challenges, but you know what, the less we GIVE in to the hurt and judgement from others, the less effect it has on oneself.  Do you agree?.  And so this is an article I have brought to you because it seemed appropriate right now.

One of my Aunties is going under the knife tomorrow for a major heart operation.  Its times like these that we let go all perceived wrongs and rights of the past and just remember the good times.  If there were no good times, in your particular life then send out gratitude that you are here now – able to still create anything you wish.  I am sending out much love to all my immediate family and all my cousins and also the family members I never got to meet in person but are now showing up in life – lol another blog.  For now its time to release and get on with the wonderful Life Purpose you came here to enjoy.

Article – Letting Go of Old Family Hurts

Families are complex and all of us are bound to experience some negative emotions from things that happened as we were growing up.

No family is perfect, and although your parents might have made every effort to ensure you a safe and happy childhood, unanticipated events occur that might have been out of your parents’ control at the time.

As a result, you might have developed feelings of sadness, disappointment, fears, and even hurt about your early years.

You’ve most likely heard the expression about carrying around “old baggage” with you. Baggage is an expression used when referring to unpleasant emotions and feelings we “carry” throughout our lives, unless, of course, we do something to let go of that baggage. Letting go of old family hurts is critical to living the life you deserve.

Following these steps can help free you from the limitations of your baggage:

1. Write a list of what you feel hurt or disappointed about. Your list might be quite lengthy or it might be brief with just one or two items. Whichever the case, recording what you feel hurt about will help clarify what it is that’s bugging you.

2. Go more in depth about each issue you listed. Specific to each item on your list, record how you felt at the time and how you feel now about the situation. The writing process will help you explore your feelings and identify how you truly feel about the past event.

* Upon completing this exercise, you may discover that you aren’t as upset now about an incident as you once were and realize that you can give yourself permission to let it go.

3. Recognize how this baggage is affecting you now. The way you handle many aspects of your life today could be related to things that happened in your past.

* Do you avoid getting too emotionally close to others for fear of being hurt?

* Do you jump in to relationships too quickly – only to find the other person not to be someone you would normally like to spend time with?

* Maybe you allow your anger to wear away at your close, loving relationships.

* Whatever it is, try to connect past incidents with what you’re doing now to express the negative emotions from those events.

4. Know that you’re worth living a life without the old hurt. You deserve to have a life unfettered by wounds from your past.

5. Make a decision to let go. Tell yourself you’ll no longer be affected by something that happened so long ago. You might want to try these ways to help you let go:

* You could write your old hurts on small snippets of paper and put them in balloons. Then, blow up the balloons, take them outdoors, and let them go. As they float away, imagine your pain floating away, too.

* Another way to let go is to write them down on paper and burn the paper. As you watch your writings safely burn in your fireplace or a barbecue grill outdoors, visualize those hurts being burned up and disappearing from your life forever.

6. From your adult viewpoint, you may now understand what happened. Once you clarify the event, consciously tell yourself that you now understand what occurred and why or how it happened. You’ve gained some insight into the issue. Now you can leave it in the past.

7. Commend yourself for your efforts to let go of your emotional baggage. After all, it weighed you down for quite some time. Now you’re free of it. Praise yourself for an important job well done.

You can let go of old family hurts by following these steps. You’ll feel so much better when you release the painful feelings you’ve had for some time. Create the life you so deserve by banishing the past to where it belongs – in the past.

Time to go home Goddess

By · Comments

I am sitting right now in a cafe called emjays on the gorgeous Sunshine Coast sipping away on my skinny iced latte, after enjoying a gorgeous lunch 2 doors down with salt and pepper squid and a glass of champagne.  Yes all on my own :) .

It was yummy and across the road is the beach and looking upon the ocean its hard to not want to move up here to be in this environment every day.

I know its different when you live somewhere as opposed to being on holiday but it truly is a divine part of australia and everyone should visit – but be warned you may not want to go home.

I have made the trip up here for a couple of reasons.  My husband is doing some work training for a new business we have purchased and that was 2 weeks.  I connected with a gorgeous group of Enlightened Goddesses up here after doing a course on the Gold Coast.  I  came to their networking event held in a wonderful restaurant overlooking the ocean.  Heard a little bit from each woman who was expressing part of her life purpose through her business, and I also did a mini playshop/life purpose talk at Yin Health (a delicious yoga studio up here).

The vibe up here is awesome – the Enlightened Goddesses led by Natalie McIvor are such happy, lively purposeful women who were positive and so supportive of each other.  It was so wonderful because as I say “when women gather, magic happens” and i n the true sense of the word magic you could sense this feeling for sure.

I had a bit more time to connect with a select few, did some mini hand life purpose readings and reconnect with some of the goddesses I met up here in August 2011.  Its so great to see the leaps and bounds they have progressed and are willing to share more of themselves without fear and without judgement.  Oh I love it.

And so I am off onto a plane in a couple of hours.  I am going to be happy to see my beloved children, to cuddle and kiss them, to learn how their week was without us, and settle back into life back in Melbourne with the BIG lead up to Goddess on Purpose event.

I can feel my heart expanding from all the love and support being sent to me for tis the time to focus and to gather up.  Theres a whole lot more work ahead, but when it is soo (life) Purpose driven,  its as graceful as a busy Goddess can be.

Have a happy weekend dear ones.

Even though you feel safe and secure in your comfort zone Goddess, are you really happy inside of it? After all, there’s more to life than safety! What about passion? What about excitement? What about purpose? Wouldn’t you like more joy in your life?

To experience new heights of joy, the only requirement is a willingness to challenge yourself to break out of your self-imposed limitations.

Getting outside of your comfort zone doesn’t always mean taking giant steps or doing something crazy. Expanding your comfort zone can mean small changes. For example, read a book you usually wouldn’t pick up, learn about something that challenges your viewpoint, or take a language course. Do things that are different than your ordinary daily routine. (like driving a different way to work each day, I did it and told my husband I did it, then he did it :) )

Here a some Small Ways to Get Out of Your Comfort Zone

To begin experiencing the joy you deserve, stretch yourself! Here are some ideas you can use to help yourself expand your comfort zone:

• Take a walk around part of your neighborhood that you don’t normally visit. • Go to a different store to shop for your groceries, clothes, or other items. • Talk with a neighbor or introduce yourself to people who are new to the neighborhood. • Sign up for a college class or an online course in something. • Take an art, acting, or dance class. You’ll meet new people and learn a new skill.

You can increase your comfort zone in many ways. If you want to create more joy, think about things you like to do or want to learn about. Expanding your comfort zone is about doing things you like. It’s about showing yourself that you can do more than you thought you could. Cmon you can do this Goddess.

Moving on to Bigger Things

Once you’ve taken small steps outside your comfort zone, seek to stretch your boundaries further with greater challenges. If you’re shy, get to know your neighbors. To go further, throw a party or have a backyard barbecue. You’ll enjoy some time with others in your neighborhood while expanding your limits.

Take a drama class, then participate in a play or join an amateur competition to stretch yourself further or join Toastmaters yay. These challenges may seem daunting to you, but others in the class will be nervous also. And it’s okay to be a little nervous sometimes. It shows that you’re growing and developing as a person. It shows that you want to live life to the fullest.

Avoid Trying Too Much Too Fast

If you try to do too many things at once, you may become so nervous that you miss the joy that comes from stretching your inner boundaries. Instead, you may experience frustration and lack motivation to venture outside of your comfort zone again. Take small steps at first, and the success you experience will fuel your drive toward bigger challenges.

To be truly happy, you must be proactive in seeking the life you desire. If you challenge yourself with activities you enjoy, leaving your comfort zone can lead you to the life of passion and fulfillment that you deserve!

Stretch that rubber band we call comfort zone …sttrreetchhhhhh

Questions to ask your Goddess Self

We’re all human (and Goddesses) and therefore we all have fears. Some of us fear death, others fear being alone, and others fear social situations (one I know alot about). If you can think of it, there’s someone somewhere that’s afraid of it. But fear is a normal part of life! It’s what protects us and keeps us safe. There are times, though, when fear can hinder us and stop us from enjoying life and experiencing new joys.

When your fear starts to limit what you do in life, you need to conquer that fear. Does your fear of flying stop you from traveling to visit family members or prevent you from taking the holiday of your dreams?

What about socializing with coworkers or business associates? Have you turned down social invitations simply because you were anxious about not knowing anyone in the group?

If your fears are stopping you from taking advantage of the new opportunities in your life, then it’s time to regain control of your Goddess life and disallow your fears from paralyzing you. After all, you can’t live in a bubble! It’s time to start living your life instead of watching life passing you by.

To help you gain control of your life, here are a few tips on how to get over your fears:

  • First, identify your fears. Get a piece of paper and write down exactly what you’re afraid of. It doesn’t matter how long the list is, whether it has one thing or 15 things on it. And it doesn’t matter if these fears sound irrational. No one needs to see the list other than you. This is about you taking control and getting over your fears.
  • Next, figure out why you have the fear. Try to remember a specific incident that might have caused the fear. Maybe your fear of flying intensified because you’ve been on a turbulent flight. Or maybe your fear of dogs stemmed from being bitten as a child.
  • If you’ve blocked out these memories because they’re too painful to remember, a professional can help you reach those memories and decipher their meaning. A professional can also advise other forms of treatment, such as hypnosis or the emotional freedom technique (EFT).Now the hard part begins: overcoming or conquering these fears. Be patient and be prepared to do some work because, just as the fear took time to manifest, it will take time to conquer.Take Baby Goddess StepsUse the baby step approach, which simply means taking small steps, one at a time, to gain more confidence and eventually overcome the fear. What would your baby steps be? It depends on your fear.1. If you’re afraid of social situations, slowly start going to different events. Start with small groups, perhaps in very open environments, then transition slowly into larger gatherings. The purpose here is to prove to yourself that there’s nothing for you to fear.2. Socialize with a small group of friends you already know. Polish your social skills among people who already know you. You have less to lose and won’t feel as if you must say the right thing at all times.

    3. If you’re afraid of  launching the business of your dreams, then take baby steps of doing your new business on weekends or after work, get the foundation right before you throw in your regular income. Start attending networking groups for support.

    4. Fear of flying is much more difficult to conquer because of the expense, but you can look into hypnosis. Also, some airports or flight schools might have classes in airplane simulators that help you feel like you’re in an airplane. That type of plan will take more research but will open the world to you.

By facing your fears and finding a way to overcome them, you will open up your life to many more opportunities. Take control of your life and take action!
